Scanning Watch Concept !
[info]x0z3n

Inspired by Scanning Devices for Scanning Targets in Sci-Fi Movies, the "Sonar Watch" has 3 Themes – Blue for Sonar, Green for Radar and Red for a Scanner Interface. The Time is Shown as 3 Targets which are Lit Up. By Pressing a Button, a Radar / Sonar / Scanner Animation will Play. The Dots Represent the Hour, Minutes and Seconds. Cool, Novel Design. Definitely Something I Could See Tokyoflash Selling.

Hyundai Concept Motorcycle Stretches !
[info]x0z3n

Inspired by Musculature, this Concept Evokes a Fluidic Sculpture from the Upper and Lower Sections Intertwined Together. The Whole Body is Made Up of Materials that Stretch and Contract just like your Muscles do and Enables Steering without any Kind of Assistive Apparatus. When Turning a Corner, the Entire Body Relaxes so that, it Can Smoothly Corner and When Accelerating, it Contracts to Form a Rigid Body. I’m Totally Intrigued by the Idea. Not so Sure about the Design though.

Rescue Water-Jet Pack !
[info]x0z3n

Inspired by the "JetLev Flyer" (Pictured with Operator), a Flying Machine that Uses High-Pressure Water Columns to Generate Thrust, the "Rescue Pack" is a Comparatively Lighter but, Equally Maneuverable Flyer Designed for Water Rescues Inaccessible by Lifeboat. Using High-Pressure Water Generated by the Pump, the User Navigates the Flyer via Foot Controls, Freeing the Arms for Rescue Maneuvers.

My Dog, Rox, is a just a Pup Weenie-Dog but, I Have already Started to Notice Signs that his Elongated Back Might Need Some Attention Down the Road, which is Why I Love this Design by Nir Shalom. The "Amigo" is a Super-Ergonomic, Lightweight and Durable Walking Aid. It Can be Adjusted to Match the Dog’s Shape and Size and Allows the Pet to Move between Walking, Sitting and Laying Down – All without Assistance from their Owner. Dogs’ Bodies Deteriorate just like Humans and that’s Where the "Amigo" Comes in Handy.

"Toggle" - One Remote Control to Rule Them All !
[info]x0z3n

TV is Evolving. Yes, the Screens are Getting Thinner but, the Real Evolution is the Content. Beautifully Thin Flat Screens with Streaming Internet are Making Television increasingly Personal. The Challenge of Having All this Content to Choose from is How to Harness it. You Need a Remote for the TV, a Keyboard and Mouse for the Internet and a Controller for Gaming. "Toggle" Delivers a Touch Experience without a TouchScreen. Points on the Remote’s Surface are Mapped to Specific Keys and Functions. But, here’s the Twist.

To Tame All the Content Piped into a Connected TV, "Toggle" Puts you in Control with 4 Modes. You Shift (or Toggle) between Modes by Sliding the Top Slice of the Device Left, Right, Up, or Down. In the Center or Off Position, the "Toggle" Wordmark Peeks through. While Holding the Device Horizontally, Shift Up for a QWERTY Keyboard. Shift Down to a Touchpad Primed for 2-Thumbed or Multi-FingerUuse. Shift Right for Casual Gaming. Shift Left and Spins 90 Degrees for a Kicked-Back, One-Handed Surfing Experience. Type, Surf, Move, or Play, with "Toggle", the Mode you Need is just a Quick Shift Away.

The Top Half of "Toggle" includes a Masked Grid which Reveals Different Interfaces When Shifted into the Different Positions. Shifts are Accomplished via Sliding Tracks in the 4 Corners of the Bottom Half. Each Mode is only a 4 Millimeter Shift from the Home Position. “The motion is based on how you hold it, so it’s very natural”, Says Bristol. “There’s an appealing fiddle-factor but, there’s also something nice about having this combination of physical interaction with a familiar touch interface.”

The Keyboard and Touchpad are Paired to Make it Easy to Shift Back-and-Forth between Text Entry and Navigation. The Exposed Graphics are Backlit with Side-Firing LEDs for Use in Dim Lighting. Looking toward the Future. The "Toggle" Concept was Developed through Carbon’s Passion Project Program in which Team Members are Allowed to Explore Promising Ideas. “Toggle offers an incredibly innovative way to create multi-mode interactions without a lot of cost or effort incurred”, Says Dan Blase, Carbon’s President. “We’d love to discuss opportunities to develop Toggle further.” Who’s in ???

NPD Games April Sales Estimates; 42% Down !
[info]x0z3n

The L.A. Times Website has Details from the April Sales Estimates Published by the Market Researchers at the NPD Group, Showing a Significant Downturn Compared April 2011. This Shows Game Sales at U.S. Retailers Taking in $292.1 Million Last Month, a 42% Drop from $503.2 Million the Previous Year, while Sales of Hardware Peripherals Held Steady. As Always Some of this Decline is the Shift from Retail Packaged Goods to Digital, as they Note "sales of used games, digital game downloads and online game subscriptions contributed an additional $370 million". NPD Analysts also Chalk this Up to there Being Less New Product for Consumers to Consume this Year. "Simply stated, there were notably fewer" New Game Releases, Says NPD Analyst, Anita Frazier, "I think it's as simple as that, because when we see compelling content come into the market, the games are still selling as well as ever".
